Four Season Operation
On summer warm days, when the temperature is high, the pool temperature won’t be very cool in sunny daytime, it is possible that we don’t need to run the heat pump pool heater at all. Some users in hot weather locations might even want to use the cooling function of a heat pump
However, on cooler days, the pool heater may need to work for a few hours. In super cold weather, for example, below +5 degree, maybe the heat pump pool heater needs to operate for 12 hours per day or even longer time. WIFI Control
One way to control the working time of your heat pump pool heater is to use a timer function of the heat pump. INVERBOOST pool heater has the timer setting function on its controller, which is user-friendly.
With a built-in WIFI function, the user could also set the timer via ALSAVO PRO APP. With the APP, the user could control the heat pump pool heater anytime and anywhere. There are also other functions of the APP including starting or stopping your pool heater, checking or setting the pool temperature, checking the heat pump data, safe locking for parameter setting, and error code notifications.
Operation Time
Other factors which could affect the time to run the heat pump each day include:
1/ the heating capacity of the heat pump pool heater, a more powerful INVERBOOST pool heater with better efficiency could heat up the pool in a shorter time and will also switch off earlier than the smaller size one.
2/ how well is the pool insulated. It takes more time for the heat pump pool heater to heat the above-ground pool than an in-ground pool because the heat loss is from both the top and sides.
3/ Pool cover. A pool without cover will lose 2-3 times more heat compared with a covered pool. As a general guide, on summer warm days, the heat pump usually runs for 0 to 3 hours. On cooler days, it may be sufficient if the heater run between 3 and 8 hours or more, but the actual operation time depends on the above factors we listed just now.
